He Lights up the Path Before You

You will light my lamp; the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness. For by You I can run against a troop… I can leap over a wall. As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the LORD is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him.… God… arms me with strength, and makes my way perfect. He makes my feet like the feet of deer, and sets me on my high places. He teaches my hands to make war.… You have also given me the shield of Your salvation; Your right hand has held me up, Your gentleness has made me great. You enlarged my path under me, so my feet did not slip. –Psalm 18:28-36

My Prayer for Today

Father, light the lamp of my understanding. Enlighten my darkness and give me wisdom to make right decisions. Fill me with the benefits of Your promises. Give me what I desire that is in line with Your Word, and the time and energy to enjoy it. (Psalm 37:4.) Strengthen me in the power of Your might. Set me on high places and secure me there within the hedge of Your protection. (Psalm 139:5.)

My Confession for Today

God’s Word flows through me in all of its perfection, as my shield, sword, and protective refuge. God arms me with His strength and makes my way flawless before Him. By His power I prevail through every battle. He trains me in the art of spiritual warfare and enables me to do what the world thinks impossible. (Ephesians 6:10-18; Mark 10:27.) The Lord has broadened my path so that in me there is no shadow of turning. ( James 1:17.

Your Heavenly Father Speaks to You

He declares His word to Jacob, His statutes and His judgments to Israel. He has not dealt thus with any nation; and as for His judgments, they have not known them. Praise the LORD! –Psalm 147:19-20

My Prayer for Today

Father, I thank You for giving me insight and understanding of Your precepts. By the power of Your promise, fill me with Your anointing and cause the words that I speak to come to pass. (Ephesians 1:17-23; Mark 11:23-24.) Bless me as only Your child can be blessed. You have not set a ceiling on my benefits. I am limited only by what I can believe I have received. Your Word declares that if I can believe, all things are possible for me. (Mark 9:23.) Therefore, give me Your wisdom and help me to create an inheritance that will be felt for generations to come. (Proverbs 13:22.)

My Confession for Today

God favors me so highly that He has determined to reveal to me what the world can never truly know: His Word. (Mark 4:11.) He gives me special knowledge and keen insight into its deepest meanings. I find great treasure in His promises and rejoice that each one is mine to receive. Whenever a need arises, I can rest assured that God has filled it in Jesus’ name. (Philippians 4:19.)

Give the Lord First Place in Your Life

So you shall not turn aside from any of the words which I command you this day, to the right or the left, to go after other gods to serve them. –Deuteronomy 28:14

My Prayer for Today

Father, help me to be true to Your Word and the purpose that You have placed within me. (Ephesians 1:11.) Reveal to me the mysteries of Your precepts and their specific purpose in my life. (Ephesians 1:9; 6:19.) I know that I am here to have fellowship with You as well as with those in our entire family, the body of Christ, who are in my sphere of influence. (1 John 1:3,7.) Our purpose is to enjoy each other and be of service to one another. Clarify my purpose and make me a self-actualized individual. Show me the gifts and hidden talents that make me unique among all of creation. Help me to know myself totally that I may bring the best of service to all.

My Confession for Today

I do not reject any of my Father’s requirements. I do not steer away from them even a little to the right or to the left. I set them firmly in my heart and place my complete trust in them regardless of what my eyes may see or what other gods—the lusts of this world—may offer. The righteous requirement of the Law is fulfilled in me. (Romans 8:4.) I have been made the very righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. (2 Corinthians 5:21.) My trust is firmly planted in Him.

God’s Treasure Is Your Inheritance

The LORD will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow. And the LORD will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them. –Deuteronomy 28:12-13

My Prayer for Today

Father, I thank You for the unfailing provision that I now enjoy. You bless all of the work of my hands and cause me to live free of the bondage of debt. You bring associations into my life who are conducive to my success. You cause me to be a light to those in the darkness and You assist me as I lead them on the path of their dreams. (Matthew 5:16.)

My Confession for Today

My Lord gives rain to my land precisely when I need it. He has opened to me His heavenly treasury. With perfect timing, He rains it down upon me and blesses all the work of my hands. I am a lender and not a borrower. I lend to many and borrow from none. I am the head and not the tail, above only and not beneath. I am destined to take the lead in any enterprise I undertake. My Father has placed me at the top and never at the bottom, for I keep His Word and I am careful to adhere to His statutes.

You Are Supposed to Have More than Enough

Then all peoples of the earth shall see that you are called by the name of the LORD, and they shall be afraid of you. And the LORD will grant you plenty of goods, in the fruit of your body, in the increase of your livestock, and in the produce of your ground, in the land of which the LORD swore to your fathers to give you. –Deuteronomy 28:10-11

My Prayer for Today
Father, I thank You that people recognize Your presence in me. I thank You for pouring Your unlimited supply into my life so that I am never in want in any way. All of my needs are fully met. (Philippians 4:19.) Help me to use what You have given to glorify Your name. Keep me from squandering Your provision. Make me wise in all things. Help me to hold myself to a higher standard than what others expect of me, and may my previous best be my only competition.

My Confession for Today

All of the people of the world clearly see that I am called by the name of the Lord. They recognize that I am in His family. I am His son/daughter and heir, and His blessings are evident in my life. (Romans 8:16-17.) This fact sparks terror in the hearts of my enemies. The Lord gives me a tremendous surplus of prosperity for my home and family. The fruit of my body, the young of my cattle, and the produce of my ground are blessed with His abundance.

You Live Under God’s Commanded Blessing

The LORD will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways. The LORD will command the blessing on you in your storehouses and in all to which you set your hand, and He will bless you in the land which the LORD your God is giving you. –Deuteronomy 28:7-8

My Prayer for Today
Father, You are my covenant associate and friend. There is no power to bless but that which You grant, and there is no power to curse but that which You allow. As we are bound by our covenant, protect me with all the power that You possess. Command Your blessing upon me and establish me. Use Your influence to increase and prosper all that I set my hand to do.

My Confession for Today
The Lord causes my enemies who rise up against me to be defeated before my face. They rise up against me in one direction, but flee from me in seven directions. The Lord commands blessings on all of my treasuries and on everything that I set my hand to do. He gives me abundant prosperity in the land which He has given me. I am established in holiness and set apart unto the Lord. (Ephesians 4:24; Psalm 4:3.) He makes His declaration that I am His and under His guardianship. (Isaiah 43:1; 1 Peter 2:25 NLT.)

All of the Covenant Blessings Are Yours

“Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the country. Blessed shall be the fruit of your body, the produce of your ground and the increase of your herds, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks. Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl. Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out.” –Deuteronomy 28:3-6

My Prayer for Today
Father, as I am blessed this day, in turn, make me a blessing to others. Let me not be self-centered, self-absorbed, and egotistical. I know I am blessed, and I thoroughly enjoy and appreciate it, but I want the same for others. Make me a blessing, Father. Make me to be like You. Your hand is open to the just and the unjust alike. (Matthew 5:45.) You own everything, yet You offer it all to anyone who will receive it. (Luke 12:29-32.) Give me the same attitude, Father. Teach me to be just like You.

My Confession for Today
By the Word of the Lord I am set high above all worldly people. (Deuteronomy 28:1.) All of His covenant blessings have come upon me and overtaken me. I am blessed (given divine favor, good fortune, happiness, prosperity, and good things of every kind) in the city and I am blessed in the country. Blessed are my children, my animals, and my garden. Blessed are my produce and my gatherings. I am blessed when I come in and blessed when I go out.

The Word and the Name Are Supreme

I will worship toward Your holy temple, and praise Your name for Your lovingkindness and Your
truth; for You have magnified Your word above all Your name. In the day when I cried out, You answered me, and made me bold with strength in my soul. –Psalm 138:2-3

My Prayer for Today

Father, I fully understand that for me to worship toward Your holy temple is to worship toward myself. (1 Corinthians 3:16.) You now dwell within my heart. All of your strength, wisdom, and ability are right now within me. Every promise in Your Word is mine for the asking. When I present one to You, You respond with “yes” and “amen”. (2 Corinthians 1:20.) In Your presence I have endless provision and strength to conquer the day. You make it easy to be courageous, Father. With You as my partner I cannot fail.

My Confession for Today

God has exalted His name and His Word above all things. (Philippians 2:9-11.) They are the keys that open the door of certainty to all of my prayers. I am bold and stouthearted enough to enter into the very throne room of God and fully expect Him to fulfill His Word on my behalf. (Hebrews 4:16.)

He Will Bring Your Soul Out of Trouble

Revive me, O LORD, for Your name’s sake! For Your righteousness’ sake bring my soul out of trouble. In Your mercy cut off my enemies, and destroy all those who afflict my soul; for I am Your servant. –Psalm 143:11-12

My Prayer for Today

Father, I enlist Your assistance this day to help me fight this battle of faith. (1 Timothy 6:12.) Revive me and restore my strength. (2 Corinthians 12:9.) Cut off my enemies and eliminate those who afflict my soul. Create in me a power force that not only withstands every attack, but counters with dynamic, focused, and unstoppable faith. (Ecclesiates 4:12; Ephesians 6:13.)

My Confession for Today

God teaches me to do His will on the earth. (Psalm 143:10.) His Spirit leads me on a level ground, free of the bumps and potholes of confusion. (Romans 8:14; 1 Corinthians 14:3.) I am His own child and have taken the surname (family name) of God. (Ephesians 3:14-15; Isaiah 43:6-7.) For the sake of His name, He preserves my life and delivers me from trouble. (Psalm 121:7-8.)

Remember What God Has Done for You

Only take heed to yourself, and diligently keep yourself, lest you forget the things your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. And teach them to your children and your grandchildren, –Deuteronomy 4:9

My Prayer for Today

Father, help me to be aware of what I am doing and how it affects my life and spiritual walk. Help me to always remember what You have done for me. Fuse Your works onto the tablet of my heart and bring them to my remembrance that I may teach them to my posterity. (Proverbs 3:3; John 14:26.) There is an eternity at stake, Father. So, open the eyes of my children. Give them revelation of Your will and purpose for them. Cause them to know and understand Your precepts and to respond to the call You have placed on their lives.

My Confession for Today

I attend and give my complete attention to all that the Lord has done for me. I do not let it slip from my mind. I keep these things in the midst of my heart all the days of my life. (Proverbs 4:21.) I teach them to my children and my grandchildren as long as I have breath within me.

Your Burden Has Been Removed

I will walk among you and be your God, and you shall be My people. I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of…Egypt, that you should not be their slaves; I have broken the bands of your yoke and made you walk upright. –Leviticus 26:12-13

My Prayer for Today

Father, thank You for freeing me from the yoke of bondage. You didn’t create me to be a slave, but a son/daughter. You’ve made me Your own. By Jesus’ sacrifice, I now have You as my closest companion. (Galatians 1:4; Hebrews 13:5.) You have removed my burden and made me to walk uprightly as one who is free. You have given me life and purpose. (John 10:10; Ephesians 1:11.) You bid me to walk as You walk and to live as You live. You mentor me through life’s trials and see to it that I am never overwhelmed. You are a good Father and worthy of my praise.

My Confession for Today

The Lord has set His dwelling place within me and has given me His Word that He will never leave me nor forsake me. (1 Corinthians 3:16; Hebrews 13:5) His Spirit is ever with me and is indeed within me. He walks with me and His presence surrounds me. (Psalm 125:2.) He is my closest companion in this earth. He has broken the bars of the yoke of slavery that were once on my shoulders. He dashed them to pieces and declared that I am free! Through faith and perseverance I make sport of difficulties and disappointments and bring my Father glory in this earth.

Hope in God

Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him for the help of His countenance. –Psalm 42:5

My Prayer for Today

Father, though the world is in chaos, my faith is steady. You are above all—omniscient and omnipotent. None can succeed as Your enemy. And You are on my side. (Psalm 118:6.) I have Your Word that You will never leave me nor forsake me. (Hebrews 13:5.) You have promised that You will find no reason to cast me out. ( John 6:37.) Therefore, I can find no valid reason to be worried or alarmed. If You are for me, who can succeed against me? (Romans 8:31.)

My Confession for Today

I refuse to be depressed about any circumstance or situation I find myself in. I always keep in mind that my heavenly Father loves me with all of His heart and is caring for me every second of every day. (1 Peter 5:7; Jeremiah 31:3.) He commands His loving-kindness in the daytime and at night His song remains with me. (Psalm 92:2.) My Father never fails to be there for me. He is my Comforter who restores to me the joy of my salvation. (John 14:26; Psalm 51:12.)

God Looks Favorably upon You and Is Pleased to Prosper You

For I will look on you favorably and make you fruitful, multiply you and confirm My covenant with you. You shall eat the old harvest, and clear out the old because of the new. I will set My tabernacle among you, and My soul shall not abhor you. –Leviticus 26:9-11

My Prayer for Today

Father, this day is a good day. I have You on my side prospering everything I set my hand to do.(Psalm 1:3) I have Your strength, fellowship, counsel, and assistance. This is a stress-free day, for You are looking upon me favorably, making me fruitful, multiplying me, and confirming Your covenant with me. Every day brings new gifts for me to enjoy. What a pleasure it is to serve You, Father. I am Yours forever.

My Confession for Today

The Lord looks upon me with favor. He causes everything that I do to be fruitful and prosperous. He multiplies me in all good things and in every good way. He sets me apart unto Himself, establishing and ratifying His covenant with me. I am living in the fullness of His abundance. My increase is continual, so that I must regularly clear out the old to make room for the new. (Psalm 115:14.)

God Richly Gives You All Things to Enjoy

Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy. Let them do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share, storing up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life. –1 Timothy 6:17-19

My Prayer for Today

Father, never let me forget what matters most in life. Though I may prosper in every way and have all that I need and more, let it not be my first focus. Riches are fleeting and fully unworthy of my trust. You alone are my everlasting provision and safeguard against turmoil and disaster.

My Confession for Today

I am in complete self-control. I do not trust in uncertain riches, but in the counsel of my God. He richly provides me with good things of every kind to enjoy. I am not only rich in possessions, but rich in good deeds as well, being ever generous and always willing to share. Through my acts of generosity, I lay up for myself an abundance of treasures in heaven as a firm foundation for my future. (Matthew 6:20.) In this, I have taken hold of the life that is truly life-the very life that God desires for me to live. (Deuteronomy 30:19; John 20:31 NIV.)

The Lord Prepares Your Heart for His Instructions

LORD, You have heard the desire of the humble; You will prepare their heart; You will cause Your ear to hear, to do justice to the fatherless and the oppressed, that the man of the earth may oppress no more. –Psalm 10:17-18

My Prayer for Today

Father, I am fully aware that You did not create one person to be more important than another. I realize that everyone I meet is in some way my superior, and that I, in some way, am theirs. Everyone is gifted and talented, and everyone has a divine mission to fulfill. Prepare me for mine, Father. Train me as a coach trains a prized athlete. (2 Timothy 2:5 NLT.) Cause my ear to hear and my heart to understand. (Psalm 143:8.)

My Confession for Today

The Lord has prepared my heart for His fellowship. His ear is attentive to the sound of my voice and He has prepared Himself to guide me in my way. (Psalm 73:24.) Those who oppress me shall now meet His justice. He has risen in my defense so the oppressor can oppress me no more.

Your Harvest Constantly Increases

Bring back our captivity, O LORD, as the streams in the South. Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy. He who continually goes forth weeping, bearing seed for sowing, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him. –Psalm 126:4-6

My Prayer for Today

Father, You know my struggles and failures. You see all that I have suffered, much of which was from my own hand. Help me turn it around, Father. Bring me back from captivity. Cause my mistakes to become tools to help me organize my victory. Make my weeping a memory, Lord. Flood my life with the harvest of my hope.

My Confession for Today

My Father restores my fortunes like the raging streams of the Negev. (Psalm 126:4 NIV.) I have sown my seed and shall reap an abundant harvest. Through hardship and turmoil I have gathered my seed, and I have sown it in the midst of life’s troubles. But, oh, my latter end! What I have sown in tears, I will reap with joy! I gather my harvest in bundles so large they cannot be carried! Perseverance always smiles in the end, and I’m smilin’ big. (Romans 5:4-5.)
